The Fool

I’m just a fool in love

Never can break through to get what I want.

No, I’m just a fool in love.

So close that I can hear it

So near that I can feel it

I think that I can taste it

But I’m shut outside the door

I’ve dreamed.

I’ve schemed.

It’s all in my childish head.

But I can’t seem to get out of this bed of dreams and wishes.

Inside a glass case, I see the beauties of the world

But the world cannot and will not touch me.

I’m alone and unfulfilled.

And I always will be.

I’m just a fool in love.

Don’t bother with me.

You’re just another piece of my puzzle that doesn’t quite fit.
